Uniform support for local hospice

Release date: 18/07/2013

Staff who work in the Central Referral Centre and on the 24 hour Support and Advice line at St. Margaret’s Hospice (SMH) have a distinctive new uniform thanks to Taunton firm A. C. Mole & Sons.

The chartered accountancy business has donated £500 for polo shirts and cardigans for the clinical and administrative staff who work in both of these areas.
Teresa Wort, corporate fundraiser at St. Margaret’s Hospice, said:
“The Central Referral Centre is open Monday to Friday 9-5 and is staffed by suitably trained administrators who are supported by clinicians. They manage referrals into all of the SMH services as well as providing advice and support for patients, carers and health care professionals. The 24 hour advice line provides a broad range of symptom control advice for professionals, and support for patients and carers 24/7 365 days per year.
For general information and advice, or for healthcare professional referrals to all patient services, there is now only one number to get help: 0845 070 8910
“The slightly different uniform for the advice line staff who are based in the clinical areas, enables patients and families to distinguish between those who work clinically on the unit and those who are staffing the advice line.”
A.C.Mole & Sons partner, Robert Zelazik, said: “We are delighted to maintain our link with St. Margaret’s Hospice by supporting this new initiative in a practical way. The impressive range of services provided by the hospice is of enormous benefit to the local community.”
