Top tax award for Somerset firm

Release date: 24/05/2013

Independent South West chartered accountancy firm A.C. Mole & Sons has won a national award in the prestigious ‘Oscars’ of the tax profession.

The Somerset-based business was declared Best Single Office Tax Practice at the 2013 LexisNexis Taxation Awards ceremony held in front of an audience of 700 at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London, last night.
Judges said testimonials from A.C. Mole’s clients were exceptionally impressive.

Tax partner Amanda Gunter, who collected the award, said: "We pride ourselves on client service and our entry rested entirely on what they said about us.”

The Taxation Awards were launched in 2001 and quickly grew to become a major annual event.

In May 2002, A.C. Mole & Sons reached the final shortlist in the Butterworths Tolley (subsequently Lexis Nexis) Tax Awards for Best Tax Team in a Small to Medium Sized Firm category. The firm was short listed again in 2003 and in 2004 brought home the trophy for the first time.
A delighted managing partner Steve Golby said: “Winning again shows that we are keeping our edge in an ever more competitive market.”
